Maintaining successful operations on a property while undergoing an environmental remediation project can present a number of challenges. RENOVA was selected by the client as the key implementation contractor for soil remediation, capping and well conversions at a small industrial park in Newark, New Jersey, bustling with activity.

RENOVA first completed a constructability review and presented value engineering options to the client, including the solutions to mitigate disruption of the business operations on premises. Towards this end, RENOVA implemented the work methodically in phases, as well as on nights and weekends.

RENOVA removed approximately 500 tons of contaminated soil and backfilled all areas to grade. Further, RENOVA converted the stick-up wells to flush-mounted, raised the flush-mount wells to the new grade, and provided a survey of all upgraded wells to the client.

RENOVA finished the project by removing the demolished concrete and asphalt, importing aggregate, and grading the site. Additional paving of a 7800 sq ft lot was completed under RENOVA’s management. RENOVA completed the work successfully with zero reportable incidents or safety concerns.
