RENOVA was selected as the prime contractor to perform marine repairs to the existing bulkhead at the USCG Yard Baltimore, located on Curtis Bay, Maryland. In advance of all site work, RENOVA de-energized all electrical components at the pier. Working from a support boat, RENOVA removed existing timber facing from the bulkhead to prepare for the installation of steel sheet piles.

A turbidity curtain was installed around the work area to prevent the spread of turbid sediments during sheet pile installation, in compliance with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) regulations. Additional tasks completed included installation of a sheet pile and anchoring system, reconnection of power to the pier, and final site restoration tasks including pile caps, sink hole repairs,and outfall extension. RENOVA completed the work safely and efficiently, with zero reportable incidents.
