DEMOLITION OF STEAM TRENCH AND STEAM UTILITY SYSTEM
RENOVA was selected by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to demolish and remove approximately 930 linear feet of reinforced, concrete steam trench at TRACEN Cape May. As the network of steam trench traversed multiple buildings, RENOVA removed sidewalks and sanitary sewer lines, while navigating other subgrade utilities, to effectively access and remove the trench. Following the removal of all steam trench and supply lines, RENOVA completed site restoration, which included backfilling at all affected areas, asphalt patching, installation of new sidewalks, installation of a new sanitary sewer line, and landscaping. Due to the busy nature of the Training Center, RENOVA took extra precautions to ensure pedestrian safety and not disrupt USCG operations. Additionally, all work was completed with zero reportable safety incidents and on schedule.
