Removal of underground storage tanks and contaminated soil from DoD site

“Project was completed safely,
on time and within budget.”

Project Summary

RENOVA was selected as the prime contractor by a Department of Defense client for the removal and disposal of underground storage tanks (USTs) and contaminated soil removal at a military installation in New Jersey.  In an effort to remove an outdated fuel system and mitigate the spread of discharged product, RENOVA removed two (2) 25,000-gallon No. 2 fuel oil USTs and two (2) 10,000 gallon kerosene USTs.  Additionally, RENOVA removed and disposed of approximately one hundred eighty (180) tons of fuel-impacted soil.  The site was backfilled, compacted, and restored to its original condition.

All work was completed pursuant to a negotiated, firm-fixed-price contract.  The proposed timeline and allotted budget were strictly adhered to.  RENOVA completed the work with zero reportable incidents or safety concerns.  The results from the soil sample collection and analysis were incorporated into a UST Closure Report, which assisted the Client in future planning for the site.

RENOVA was asked to bid on additional work at the installation by the Client due to the successful completion of this project.

An overall rating of “Above Average,” with all ratings either “Outstanding” or “Above Average,” was received from the Client on the Performance Evaluation form.

" Project was completed safely. There were no lost time injuries. The project was completed on time and within budget. Project personnel were professional and courteous. "
